The Norwalk Housing Foundation provides scholarships which range from $500 to $12,000 depending upon whether they are in a technical school, 2-year or 4-year college, or if they’re a grad school student.

This project is raising funds to help send a kid from subsidized housing in Norwalk to a 2-year college.

Most of our 2-year college kids receive $1,500 if it’s their first year so they can also buy a laptop. If we reach our goal we can make sure to fill the funding gap that will enable a student to attend a full year at a 2 year college.

We have 50 college students for the 2017-18 school year so we need your help. We see college as a launching pad for our students to end the cycle of multi-generational living in subsidized housing so please help us launch one of our kids out of public housing.

Cost to provide a scholarship to a 2-year school for one student in Norwalk subsidized housing: $1,500
