You can give the love of science to Trailblazers Academy Middle School kids by helping us crowdfund to purchase a much-needed innovative STEM curriculum!

The ThinkDigital Mobile curriculum designed by Jason Learning allows students learn how to design their own apps, and is one of many units the science teachers will be able to access. Since students come to us three to five grade levels behind in reading and math skills, bringing real-world context to STEM classes is critical to make the lessons engaging and enable our students be successful in school.

A program of Domus, Trailblazers Academy is an alternative charter middle school in Stamford. We serve 130 students in 6th through 8th grade who have not been successful in their previous schools and need a smaller, more personal learning environment.

More than 90% qualify for free or reduced lunch based on extremely low household incomes. We provide a safe, supportive school community where students can make gains in their academic, social, and life skills—and successively transition to high school on a path toward a happy, productive adulthood.

$1,300 may buy:

  • Online access to STEM curriculum for Trailblazers Academy teachers and students
  • Dozens of lessons designed to bring real-world issues alive in STEM classes
  • Hands-on learning written and guided by scientists in the field
  • A learning community of over 3.5 million students and teachers worldwide!

Cost to provide a new STEM curriculum which includes learning how to code apps: $1,300
