Pacific House, located at 597 Pacific Street in Stamford, CT, works with homeless men and young adults and helps them gain access to healthcare, find jobs, continue their education, secure housing, and live independent lives.

Remember how stressful it was to prepare for college (or help your child apply)? Imagine how much harder it would be if you had no family – if you had to do this on your own!  There are three homeless young men, participants in our new Young Adult Program, living at the emergency shelter who, despite all the challenges they have faced, are determined to go to college!

We are helping them navigate the application process – including getting them help to prepare for taking the SAT test (via a partnership with Bulldog Tutors from Yale) – but we need your help getting them the critical tools they need.

We are asking you to help provide laptop computers for each of these young men – computers that they can use to study for their SAT’s and then take along with them as they head off to college.  One of our young clients has already managed to make this leap – we are dedicated to helping these three young men do so as well.

The pressure to succeed is amplified when the stakes are so high.  Your gift here can help change the trajectory of a young man’s life – out of homelessness and into college with a fresh start!

Number needed:  3 laptop computers at $750 each

Total Cost to purchase 3 laptop computers for 3 young adults studying for their SATs in our homeless shelter: $2,250
