Spread the LOVE this Spring!

Each year, 200 children in Connecticut are diagnosed with pediatric cancer. But you can help.  You can help Circle of Care provide newly diagnosed families with a Bag of Love, a beautiful canvas tote filled with thoughtful items to help get children and their families started on their pediatric cancer journey.

We call them our Bags of Love because every item is lovingly selected with careful thought. Why? Because parking is expensive, so we include parking vouchers. Because families don’t have time to run home before going to the hospital, so we include the basic essentials like toiletries and water bottles. We know that it’s scary, so we provide comfort items like toys, and a cozy fleece blanket. And because there are long nights, we include a journal with a lighted pen for parents to take notes in the dark after their child has finally fallen asleep.

We need your help to:

  • Spread the LOVE: $150 LOVE donation will fill a Bag of Love.
  • Spread COMFORT: $75 COMFORT donation will provide a warm, fleece blanket, a toy for a child, toiletries, water bottle, a journal and lighted pen for worried parents
  • Spread RELIEF: $50 RELIEF donation will provide parking and meal vouchers to help with the costs of that first week of hospitalization
  • Spread HOPE: $25 HOPE donation will provide our resource directory, The Purple Pages — an invaluable guide for newly diagnosed families

In fact, any amount will help to fill a Bag of Love – and help to ease the transition by letting each child and family know that they are not alone.

Cost to purchase 11 Bags of Love for families of children with children: $1,650

Thank you for your donation. 100% of the donation you make to The Impact Vine will go directly to the 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization listed on this page, directed toward the project detailed above.  You will receive an emailed tax receipt to support your tax-deductible contribution. Thank you again!

Catherine was diagnosed 5 years ago, March 2013, and I remember seeing the Bag of Love on the hospital bed when we checked in. It was really nice to know that someone understood what we were going through and took the time to show us we were not alone.

I supported Circle of Care’s Bags of Love for Families of Children with cancer and if you have the means you should too. They are such a great non profit organization that did so very much for me and my 24 forever angel daughter Michele Ekaterini Ciufecu Broadley. <3<3<3

Thanks to each of you for sharing these wonderful comments. As you may know, Circle of Care’s founders are parents of pediatric cancer survivors and they know first-hand how important providing support to children and families is. We are truly grateful for your support!
