Send a Stamford middle school boy on an eye-opening field trip! Stamford Police officers are serving as mentors and role models for the Boys Youth Leadership Group of the Chester Addison Community Center in Stamford, a program of Domus. They are planning a field trip to New York City and need our help! Many of the boys have never been to NYC or to a nice restaurant, and have not been exposed to their own culture and heritage in a meaningful way. The trip to The Studio Museum, Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Apollo Theater, and lunch at iconic Sylvia’s Restaurant will cost $1,426 for the 14 boys, 8 police officers, and 4 staff. Give $100 and sponsor one of the boys to have a memorable and impactful experience.

How excited are the boys to go on this field trip?  Hear from one of of them here:

  • Transportation bus $500
  • Museum entrance fees $126
  • Lunch at Sylvia’s Restaurant $800

Total Cost: $1,426

Cost to provide a cultural field trip for Stamford middle school boys and local police officers: $1,426
