Project REWARD, Family & Children’s Agency’s addiction recovery program, is unique in that it is the only outpatient program in southern Fairfield County specifically designed for women.
In addition to gender-specific group classes, this program caters to the unique needs of mothers by providing both child care and transportation for women within our service areas of Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Westport, Weston and Wilton.
Transportation is critical for many of these women to ensure they attend their daily classes and work toward sobriety. We would like to raise $2,500 to help with upkeep of the van and allow FCA to maintain these critical services for women and their families throughout Fairfield County
$2,500 is needed for the upkeep of the vans so women throughout Fairfield County can get to their addiction recovery classes.
Many of our clients who are currently in recovery would be able to participate more fully in their program if they had access to regular transportation in order to continue to work toward sobriety.
This crowdfunding campaign will raise $2,500 to help with upkeep of transportation vans, and allow FCA to maintain these critical services for women throughout Fairfield County.
Donations to this crowdfunding campaign will raise funds which may be used for items such as:
- $750 for 10 weeks of gasoline for one van ($75 will fill one van with van for one week, making approximately 10 round trips to meetings for 16 women)
- $1,200 for new set of balanced and mounted tires for one van, which should last for 2 years, providing for at least 100 weekly meeting round trips for at least 16 women per week
- $550 is needed for bi-annual maintenance for one van
Cost to provide rides to women in recovery, for a year: $2,500
